About Yitzhak Adir

Yitzhak Adir > Mouth and Foot Painting Artists Born on November 29th,1947 in Iran, Yitzhak Adir went to a technical college of the Israeli Air Force. He was an Air Force engineer. At the age of 24 he was severely injured and has been confined to a wheelchair ever since. He graduated with honors from the Art Teachers Training College in Ramat Hasharon. Currently, he is a Senior Lecturer at the Beit Berl College of Arts. He is the founder and Head of the Department for Handicapped Creative Artists. The department provides training for art teachers who work with disabled people.

Yitzhak Adir has been a member of the International Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists (AMFPA) since 1979. He is the Israeli and European representative in the association. He paints by mouth.

Adir's wife – Yifah is a ceramic artist and sculptor; his elder daughter Vered is a photographer ; his son Tal is a musician and a multi-media artist and his younger daughter May specializes in body and movement.

The person who influenced me most in my life was Professor Arnulf Erich Stegmann, founder and first President of the Association of Mouth and Foot Painting Artists.
